For the third year, the SPCA Serving Erie County’s Humane Education Department will be offering a summer camp for children ages six through 14. Sessions begin June 24, and various camp themes, including Sense-ational Pets, Arts and Animals, Paws and Claws, Vet Academy 101 & 102, Humane Heroes, and more will be offered as either mini-camps or full week camps from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through mid-August.

Costs vary, and, new this year, the SPCA will offer discounts for multiple-week registrations and sibling registrations. Before- and after-camp care will be available for additional fees.

Also new this year is a Counselors-In-Training (CIT) program for teens ages 15 to 17 looking to gain experience working with children and animals.

Camps and the new CIT program will be held at the SPCA’s 300 Harlem Road, West Seneca location. Registration can only take place online at, where there is more information on sessions, age groups and class activities. An early-bird registration discount is in place until March 31.
