SUMMARY:Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament
DESCRIPTION:The West Seneca Chamber of Commerce proudly announced that its 30th annual golf tournament will take place on Wednesday\, Aug. 4\, following a year off due to Covid restrictions. Furthermore\, the tournament is moving closer to home and will take place at Harvest Hill Golf Course located at 3052 Transit Road. \n“This is our largest fundraiser of the year and we can’t wait to see all of our supporters back on the golf course in 2021\,” said Joe Kirchmyer\, executive director of the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce. “As long as the weather cooperates\, I can guarantee everyone will have a great time!” \nIn addition to a traditional scramble format\, the outing will feature lunch\, dinner\, happy hour\, a sports memorabilia/silent auction\, split club and other raffles\, pizza and beverages on the course\, and several contests including closest to the pin\, longest drive and putting. There will also be prizes for the golfers with the best team score\, as well as other surprises. \nThe cost is $125 per golfer\, and foursomes are encouraged. Please note that you do not have to be a Chamber member to participate and that any Covid-related restrictions such as social distancing and masks will be enforced as required. \nNumerous sponsorship levels priced at $100\, $500\, $1\,000 and $2\,000 are available; $1\,000 and $2\,000 sponsorships include a foursome. The Chamber is also looking for prize donations such as gift cards\, silent auction items\, big ticket raffle items\, and bottles of liquor or wine. DESCRIPTION:A popular event to come out of the pandemic last year was the Chamber’s outdoor Walk & Talk series\, where guests gathered at local parks to walk trails and talk about all things West Seneca. Upcoming Walk & Talk events will take place at noon Wednesday\, Aug. 25\, within Burchfield Park\, 2001 Union Road\, and noon Wednesday\, Sept. 15\, at the West Seneca Soccer Complex\, 3745 Seneca St. The events are open to Chamber members and nonmembers\, and all guests are reminded to bring a bottle of water and be ready for a brisk walk through the parks! Please wear appropriate footwear\, especially at Burchfield Park where the trails are unpaved.
