DESCRIPTION:The West Seneca Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Women In Business Luncheon on Wednesday\, May 1\, in The Columns Banquet Center\, 2221 Transit Road\, Elma. Doors will open at 11 a.m.\, with lunch served at noon and door prizes and raffles at 12:45 p.m. \nNew this year\, several Chamber members who operate women-owned businesses will host informational tables during the event. Rather than have a speaker at this event\, guests will have more time to visit vendor tables and gather information on these unique local businesses. \nTickets for the luncheon are priced at $25; tickets for the basket auction and raffles are extra and proceeds will benefit future West Seneca Chamber of Commerce programs. \nFor more information about the luncheon\, sponsored by the M&T Bank Southgate Plaza Branch\, Northwest Bank and the West Seneca Sun\, please visit the Chamber’s website at westseneca.org or Facebook page at www.facebook.com/WestSenecaChamberofCommerce/. \n• To order luncheon tickets\, please call the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce at 674-4900. \n• To host a women-owned business vendor table at the event\, please call 674-4900. DESCRIPTION:The West Seneca Chamber of Commerce and the GEICO Local Office in West Seneca are teaming up to offer a series of six free lunchtime events in 2019 featuring a variety of interesting business leaders. The GEICO Power Lunch Series is open to both Chamber members and nonmembers\, and all events take place from noon to 1 p.m. in the large meeting room in the West Seneca Community Center & Library located at 1300 Union Road. \nThe third speaker in the lunch series\, visiting on Tuesday\, May 21\, will be Jeff Surdej\, owner of Surdej Web Solutions\, a professional website design and development company. Surdej will offer tips on search engine optimization (SEO) and will discuss the importance of ensuring that your website is American Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant. \nDoors will open at 11:45 a.m. and a light lunch will be provided for attendees. Each event will also include Q&A with the speaker and an opportunity to network with other guests. While the events are free and open to the public\, seating will be limited and reservations are required.
