DESCRIPTION:Delicious food and amazing vehicles will be featured at the fifth annual Taste of West Seneca and West Seneca PBA Car Show event slated from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday\, Sept. 1. The event takes place on Union Road\, which will be closed to traffic from Main Street to Center Road\, and on the grass in front of and adjacent to Town Hall. \nHundreds of vehicles are expected to participate in the car show\, while more than a dozen local eateries are expected to be on hand to provide a “taste” of some of their most popular culinary delights. For the first time\, this year’s Taste event is going ticketless; customers can now pay directly to each of the food vendors. SUMMARY:GEICO Power Luncheon Featuring Brian Meyer
DESCRIPTION:The West Seneca Chamber of Commerce and the GEICO Local Office in West Seneca are teaming up to offer a series of six free lunchtime events in 2019 featuring a variety of interesting business leaders. The GEICO Power Lunch Series is open to both Chamber members and nonmembers\, and all events take place from noon to 1 p.m. in the large meeting room in the West Seneca Community Center & Library located at 1300 Union Road. \nThe fifth speaker in the popular lunch series\, visiting on Tuesday\, Aug. 20\, will be award-winning journalist Brian Meyer. Meyer is well-known for his work at WBEN\, WBFO and The Buffalo News\, and will discuss how businesses and organizations can work with the media to forge an effective media strategy. \nDoors will open at 11:45 a.m. and a light lunch will be provided for attendees. Each event will also include Q&A with the speaker and an opportunity to network with other guests. While the events are free and open to the public\, seating is limited and reservations are required. DESCRIPTION:The West Seneca Chamber of Commerce and VITEC Solutions of Elma are teaming up to offer a free roundtable discussion on Cybersecurity for the Small Business. The event will take place on Tuesday\, July 30\, in the West Seneca Community Center & Library\, 1300 Union Road\, and is open to both Chamber members and nonmembers. \nTheft of digital information has become the most commonly reported fraud\, surpassing physical theft\, according to the Federal Communications Commission. This unique roundtable discussion will help raise awareness of the digital threats that are upon our community and present ways we can prepare ourselves and our businesses to withstand threats that evolve on a daily basis. \nDoors will open at 11:30 a.m. on July 30. Guests will have an opportunity to network and enjoy light refreshments from 11:30 a.m. to noon\, followed by the roundtable discussion from noon to 1 p.m. Q&A and networking with the VITEC team will be offered from 1 to 1:30 p.m. \nWhile the event is free and open to the public\, reservations are required.
