Located on the hill at the corner of Union Road and Main Street\, adjacent to Town Hall\, the market will run from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday evenings from May 13 through Aug. 26\, weather permitting. \nThe West Seneca Farmers’ Market will be sponsored by the Western New York Federal Credit Union\, located at 1937 Union Road\, West Seneca. \n“We are very excited to work with the town to continue this West Seneca tradition\,” said Joe Kirchmyer\, executive director of the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce. “While we will follow county and state guidelines regarding coronavirus safety\, we believe residents are ready to once again get out and enjoy our beautiful spring and summer evenings. We will do our best to deliver a diverse group of farmers\, food producers and artisans for the public’s enjoyment.” \n“We are excited to host the 2021 farmers’ market again this year\, and we are grateful for the partnership of the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce to promote and coordinate with local businesses\,” added West Seneca Supervisor Gary Dickson. “We hope that this creates a socially distant and safe opportunity for the community to gather and enjoy summer evenings on Thursdays in the town. Farmers’ markets are an age-old form of farm direct marketing that helps local businesses build strong relationships between consumers and the vendors. In turn\, the market provides an economic benefit to the local area and creates a valuable resource and enjoyable community event for all. We have already heard from residents who are very excited and are looking forward to the farmers’ market this year. The town welcomes all the local vendors who have signed up for this 16-week market and we hope for a successful collaboration.” \nEight- and 16-week vendor opportunities are available.
